H is walking much better these days. We have to keep our eyes on our busy boy at all times. Some fun new words he is saying are "uh oh", "brrr", "Pop", and "Amen". He also knows lots of animal sounds, our favorites are the cow, tiger, sheep, and dog. Nana taught him how to do praying hands...it's the sweetest thing! We were saying grace one night and he put his hands together. We noticed but thought it was surely just a coincidence. When he did it the next night we couldn't believe it. H also started clapping at the end of songs...maybe it's just because he's happy that we have stopped singing! We are still thankful for our sleeper who sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes two 1 1/2 hour naps.
At his 12 month check up his length was 31 in. (85%) and his weight was 22lbs 13oz (50%).
We got family pictures/ Harrison's one year pictures done by Emily Tate in the Canton square. Thankfully H was in a good mood. Emily is amazing and was so patient with us (I highly recommend her if you're in the Jackson area!!). H may have enjoyed his cake...just a little bit! Here are some of my favorite shots:
Addison Freeling was born the day before Harrison's birthday. We are so excited for Robbie & Laurie and glad for sweet Addison to be here! I can't wait to see them playing together as they grow up just as Laurie and I did.
We had a great turn-out for Harrison's birthday party. It was a nice day so the kids were able to play outside. We are so thankful for all of our family and friends who came and for all of the gifts that H received. Toys have taken over our living room and we've been able to pack a few away and will pull them out later on.

One thing the Lord has taught me this year is that He is taking care of us and has a plan even when we can't see it. There have been many times when Harrison wanted to do something that I stopped him from doing. Whatever the reason, I had his best interest in mind. He didn't understand why I would not let him do what he wanted, but I could see the possible harmful or negative outcomes. I think this is how it is in my life sometimes. I want to do one thing, but the Lord stops me because He can see much more than I can. Lord, let me learn to trust you!
What a wonderful, fast, busy, challenging, life-changing, joyous year this has been. I am constantly amazed at how quickly Harrison changes, grows, and learns new things. We could not be more thankful and in love with our little "Game Changer"(GC), as his daddy so properly named him the day we found out we were pregnant.
